DJ Andre has been a Club,
Mobile, Radio DJ Personality, and a top Mixshow DJ/Remixer for
over two decades.
In 1988 DJ Andre won 1st
Place for DMC Westcoast Regionals Championship and then placed
3rd Place in 1988 DMC American Mixing Championship. (1st Place:
DJ Cash Money; 2nd Place: Bad Boy Bill: and 3rd Place:
Grandmaster Wiz [aka DJ Andre]).
He was just one step away from winning the World Championship!
DJ Andre has a vast
knowledge in using many types of equipment from Turntables, CD
Decks, Reel to Reel multi-track recorders, sequencers, drum
machines, workstations, KBs, samplers, digital editors, and now
Software.
DJ Andre's years of
experimentation was around 1978. He went Pro in 1981. What
attracted him to music was just the pure essence of doing
something different to pre-recorded music.
DJ Andre has performed in
thousand of events from small private parties to huge outdoor
raves with attendances of over 20,000 fans. He says there is
nothing better than having the power to control such huge crowds
and have their love and spirit as one with you, while guiding
their fun with his magic wand as an entertainer. He DJ'd in the
World Famous Clubs: "O" Laser Club (Tijuana), China Club
(Chicago), Paradise Garage (NY), Kings & Queens Club (Japan),
and many more hundreds of clubs throughout the US and other
countries.
DJ Andre was Host DJ for a
Digital Radio Station called the Urban Mixx Show for MMRadio
from MixMeister. From 2003 to 2004 this station became a No. 1
Hip-Hop Mix Station in cyberspace in such a short period of
time. At the UMS Forum
DJ Andre won all the Mixing
Contests in that forum and soon was crowned the best Mixing DJ
in that forum. He also taught many there how to properly mix and
remix hip-hop and other music styles. In December of 2004 he
left the UMS to start his own DJ Support Forum.
In January 2005, DJ Andre
started his own DJ Support Forum
